strength, energy and the fight of the elements for equilibrium have determined our existence since the beginning of time. the origin of life lies in the universe. matter and energy make up the original fountain of existence and actions.

we humans are universe and micro-cosmos at the same time. yin and yang stand as examples of the perfect balance of the sexes. yin represents femininity and yang the masculine element. let´s remember our natural power and strengthen the yin in our world: beauty, softness, erotic, love and respect.

this is what I would like to express through my work and what has now become my own brand: simple happiness, which is represented throughout this website by the circular symbol - the open zen-circle.

this symbol can have, depending on the view, many different dimensions:

  • the open zen-circle as a symbol for the universe,
  • uterus and ovum as symbol for the origin of life,
  • the ancient Egyptian feather crown of the pharaoh, with the sun disk between the two bull horns and
  • in the purely physical sense, it is the ultimate symbol for stability.

in my paintings the abstract world combines with representational reality. the motifs penetrate each other. what is, actually, representation? what is abstract? feelings and emotions are also real.

ever since I can remember, representation of the human body and its actions fascinate me. with close attention to anatomy, my paintings display mankind as a part of the cosmos, all matter, and life on this earth.

I have developed my own, bright and powerful painting style. I use clear acrylic colors - basic colors, thinned little to none - that are brought onto canvas using my own style with the hands, fingers, spade and sponge. the colourful magnificence of my work is the expression of some basic thoughts: the universal, cosmic and sexual energy from and in we humans. nude portraits are not “concealed flower pedals from the drawer”; instead they are simply outlets of energy…the beautiful yin.

my paintings stand alone, however they belong in series. I call them my „motif-galaxies“.

I have no direct artistic role models. and if, then only myself. it is painted, what my cosmic energy allows to be painted. I try to stay uninfluenced, as much as possible. even when modern art, expressionism or other areas of art theory make sense. one could say I have made my own artistic style... „simple-happinism“. feelings, inspiration, sensitivity and sensibility are important in my work - simple happiness.
